I know how to get different pics, just don't know how ya get the different that usual avatars

On the web you look up avatars. That's how I do it. You visit different sites. Until you find one that has the kinds you want.

Make a Yahoo 360 profile and download a picture you like. Then use that picture as your Y!A Avatar.

Get a 360 and use pretty much any photo you want. Choose carefully, you don't want to make yourself look like a dog...
