My boyfriend barley tapped someone elses car. If I turn it into my insurance, do we have to pay our $500 deductible to get her car fixed. No damage done to our car just hers. The damage is only $547 to fix. Any info would be great.

Deductible is usually only for repairs to your car, but if you have to pay it, pay the whole bill and don't let yourself have an insurance payout on your record just to save $47

I probably wouldn't turn that in, because having a $500.00 deductible usually means you can take care of the first $500.00 of any damage, plus if your young your insurance will probably go up, just tell the lady you are willing to make payments to her, till the damage is payed for. try to pay about $100.00 a month, tell your insurance company you dont want to file it. and the lady will have to accept the payment arrangements you make with her
