What are you looking to do while wearing this stuff?

If you are looking simply for winter fashion then hit up any of the mall stores and/or their websites.

For Performance Boots and Coats I would suggest the following:

www.ems.com
www.rei.com
www.campmor.com

Just about every outdoor company produces similar clothing for specific things. While those North Face Denali Fleece jackets and down parkas are trendy, neither offers superior winter weather protection by themselves. Fleece, while warm, is not usually windproof or waterproof. Down is warm, but needs a lot of care and once it's wet is worthless.

Columbia, The North Face, Mountain Hardware, Marmot, Arc'Teryx, Helly Hansen...just some brands.

These aren't brands, but they are materials I suggest and look for in winter wear:

Windbloc Fleece: Thinner than regular fleece, but has a windproof laminate and is a bit more water repellant than regular fleece.

Gore-Tex, Sympatex, HyVent, System3, HellyTech, TriClimate: These are the waterproofing materials used to make jackets. Just about every company has their own material and all also use Gore-Tex in their higher-end stuff.

Windstopper Fleece: Made by Gore. It is even warmer and stopps more wind than the Windbloc.

Primaloft: A synthetic insulation lighter than Down and will keep you warm when wet.

A good waterproof jacket and liner (fleece or Primaloft) will set you back about $265-$300 w/o discounts.

As for boots. Uggs (UGH!) are warm but not waterproof. Also, once you get them wet they will stain, you need to keep them clean or they will look like junk after the first storm. They are suede and suede is a pain in the neck to keep clean. Additionally, Uggs are lousy for performance. North Face Chilkats are better. They are fairly waterproof, are a lot better in ice and slush, and will keep you warmer than the Uggs. They go for about $95.

You "can't be bothered to look" yourself, this is a site for seeking and imparting knowledge, not a gathering for the terminally lazy to get others to do their research. What would you do if there was no internet, sit on the floor and cry?.

Ugg boots and Abercrombie coats are really cute.
