Federal prosecutors said in a criminal complaint that Democratic fund-raiser Norman Hsu pressured investors to make campaign contributions through him in order to raise his public profile -- then used his prominence to find more investors for illegal Ponzi schemes.

The three-count complaint was unsealed yesterday by the U.S. attorney in Manhattan. The complaint also says Mr. Hsu gave people money to make some donations, which is illegal.

• Fraud Charges: Prosecutors allege that Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu ran a phony business, and paid initial investors with money from newer ones.
• Election Law Charges: The complaint also alleges that Mr. Hsu donated money to politicians under other people's names -- or reimbursed them for their donations.
• Bottom Line: If convicted, he faces a maximum of 20 years in prison on each of two counts of fraud, and five years on the election count

Why would it surprise anyone, the Clintons are manipulative, thieving, sexual deviants, who can't even control their own whims, let alone run any type of government. The government is supposed to be by the people for the people, yet our government is full of people who are only about ME, MYSELF and I. What needs to happen is a major government cutback on all levels complete with salary caps and no fundraising / donations allowed in campaigns. Then the only people who would be interested in running this country would be the people who actually care what is going on here.

Looking corrupt actually HELPS Democrats. A lot of their voters apparently admire outlaws and I speak not of the lady folk.
Drudge I think determined this Ponzi Scheme as a $60 million.
Under the watchful eye of Lincoln's portrait Hillary attempted to fool all of the people some of the time. I wouldn't be surprised if the portrait original is in Clinton custody with a Russian fake hanging in the White House! This painting has sentimantal value to the Clintons. It probably inspired the entire heist!

No. The only thing that amazes me is why this scandal, so much larger and complex than Jack Abramoff, is being ignored, is it because Hsu isn't a Republican? Check out the Hochberg/Lillian Vernon campaign contribution coincidences by "Suitability Flip" blog, it's like these candidates were on Communist China's shopping list.

I don't even like Hillary Clinton. So I hardly want to be someone who defends her. But the shear idea that Democrates are more corrupt because she knows someone that is a criminal is just ironic. With the recent news of veteran GOP lawmakers getting busted from having inappropiate relations with young boys, embezzlement, and soliciting male prostitution in a public bathroom, should make any republician run in fear from the topic.

Hsu's resume makes him a typical Clinton fundraiser. I'm just surprised he didn't make it to China to join Charlie Trie, John Huang and the Riatti's.

You are a sick Neocon who spreads your sick Republican propaganda all over. You do not care about average American people. All you care about is your wealthy corporations. You and your republican NEOCONS cronies do not belong any longer in the society. You belong in a museum as no one except Neocons as you are believes you any more.
