It takes practice, but if you're new to liquid liners, I would recommend one with a felt tip rather than a brush tip. I think felt-tip liquid eye liners are easier to handle until you get a hang of it, and they're perfect for transitioning from pencil to liquid.

If you're lining your eye and you go off-course, just use a Q-tip dampened (not dripping) with water or moisturizer to gently wipe off the excess/mistake. Also, to make it look more natural, try to draw a thin line as close to your lashline as possible. You can also dot the liner into the lashline, especially on the outer corner of the lower lashline if you choose to accentuate the lower lashline.

It takes practice and a steady hand. I'd recommend practicing before you're in a hurry to get ready and go out. Actually, the liquid has such afine tip that if you stay right in your lash line your shouldn't have any trouble. If you're going for a more dramatic look with a thicker line start right at the tearduct and follow the curve of your eyelid. Extend the liner a bit at the corners. It dries fast so if you keep your eyes looking down or closed, it won't take long.

Hi! =D

The way I do it really helps me out. First you apply your regular pencil eyeliner to as close as you can to your lash line on your top lid. It doesn't have to be straight, but that would help better, also apply a thin line not a thick one. Then take your liquid eyeliner (I suggest Maybelline Ultra Liner Waterproof) and go over your pencil liner very slowly and carefully. That way it'll make it look straight. If you get any mistakes just wet a q-tip and gently rub against it, then use the dry end of the q-tip to wipe away any extra liquid or eyeliner.

common eyeline is extra comfortable and organic the place as liquid is exceedingly ambitious. i stumble on it complicated each and every now and then that liquid is messy so i might propose this. in case you place a small then line of common eyeliner than putting liquid over it i'm getting good effects via fact it is not close to as messy. i think of it purely relies upon on which look your going for comfortable or ambitious.

Close your eye and very slowly drag it along the top of your lash line, being careful to not have to far above or below your eyelashes. Apply it like you would a pencil, and if you still have trouble, try dotting it along your lash line.
