earth is not a perfect sphere, cetrifical force causes it's sides to stretch out. so its kinda oval shaped. (not by much though)

Only things I could think would be :

the moon's gravity (changes the shape of water, seen with raising tides)

wind (can shape mountains and sand)

water (can flood low areas (imagine Katrina and New Orleans)can also shape mountains, causes mudslides and cools lava into land as it falls into the ocean)

lava, (causes plates in the ground to shift, resulting in earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, also lava in water cools into new land forms)

meteors hitting the earth http://www.geologie.uni-freiburg.de/root/people/ulmer/ries/arizona.gif

and uhm, uhm...... People. we tear down trees and build walmarts all over the World, but in other countries we name it something else.

The shape of the earth does not change. I suggest you ask your teacher to clarify the question. Are you sure, for example, the question was not something about the phases of the moon?

Good luck.

The Earth doesn't change it's shape. It's an oblate spheroid and has been since it finished forming about 4.5 billion years ago.
The continents can drift apart or together and change the shape of the SURFACE (called interestingly enough "continental drift"), but the Earth itself doesn't change shape.

the earth shape isnt changing, nor will it ever. it is a sphere because gravity pulls it all to the center.
