7 + (-9) + (-5) + 6=
-2 + -5 + 6 =
-7 + 6 =
-1

This is taking 2 at a time going left to right

Or you could add all the positives(7 + 6 = 13)
add all the negatives (-9 + -5 = -14)

and add the two
13 + -14 = -1

Make sure you know the rules of integers.
When adding
Same Signs: add and keep the sign
Opposites Signs: subtract and keep the sign of the bigger number.
