Well, I have an old Taiwanese TV and the remote on it went out a long time ago (did you ever notice that the remote is the first thing to break?) so have to turn it on manually, but use the remote on the satellite box. If that goes, I have to hunt around because the labels are in Chinese. Big trouble. But yes, I'd get up and do that.

I'd still watch Tv. I havent became that lazy like the rest of the world...no offense anyone. But actually one of my TV remotes just broke so i get up to change the channel of volume. But i dont watch TV until the new seasons come on. Im a BIG CSI fan. But my favorite show was Sex and The City. Cant go a day without it..I just think that America has become so lazy...thank god Nitendo Wii. Now kids can get up and interact w/ the games.

Yes!
You know that in a dark, distant time when dinosaurs roamed the earth TVs didn't have remotes!
Yes, shock horror...
no remotes.
And people actually had to raise up off their couches and turn the dial on the TV to get another station or to change the volume.
Now I am really showing my age - I can remember TVs without remotes and dials instead of buttons - Call the old folks home...

Yes, except that my daughter or my wife might leave the TV room when I ask them to switch the channels manually quite often. I do not want to have a mini-revolt in the house so maybe I should just immediately buy another remote (or another TV and remote) to keep the peace at home.

If I need to see some important program, I guess I have to find a way to watch even without the remote control otherwise, I will have to sacrifice a day without watching shows on the telly.

My God, I have more than 200 channels on my satellite TV and I would go crazy switching from one channel to another without remote control. Oh my, that would be torture of a different kind. Do you know how many times I flip channels?

I would still watch of course, especially if my team is playing. i wouldn't be changing channels anyway.
But I probably wouldn’t lose my remote control for I have a remote control locator. I just hope I don’t lose the remote control locator, for I don’t have a remote control locator locator.

it is a known fact people would rather get up and search for the remote, rather then turning the channel manually. haha. but yeah i would still watch but i would hate it having to get up and switch the channel.
