Yes, witches really do exist. Whether they can fly or not is another matter. Male witches are called warlocks.
Male or female, they basically are similar to magicians mixed with voodoo, as they use potions to cast their spells.
There are "black" witches (evil) and "white" witches (good). They form in groups called covens.
There are a lot of books and websites devoted to their spells, etc.
They are mentioned in the Bible...

Look around, Witches are everywhere. Just because they don't go around dressed in pointy hats and ride a broom, doesn't mean they don't exist. I am a (non-wiccan) witch, who will dress in stereotypical witch dressings for Halloween, too. I find it fun. Enjoy being a witch-for-a-day :)

They can fly if they can afford the airfare and aren't on the Bush administration's no fly list.

"Male witches are called warlocks."

No they are not.

Warlock is an insult. It means one is an oathbreaker or a traitor. Calling someone a warlock is liable to afford you the opportunity to go on a teeth hunt.

"Male or female, they basically are similar to magicians mixed with voodoo, as they use potions to cast their spells."

Wrong. Voodoo is a combination between Roman Catholicism and traditional West African spiritual systems. Practitioners are refered to as Vodún.

Witches practice European magical systems.

"There are "black" witches (evil) and "white" witches (good)."

Wrong yet again. There is no such thing as black or white magic.

Evil witches like the ones from the wizard of oz? Probably not. But women who adhere to the religion Wicca sometimes call themselves "witches," without the negative connotations.

I hate for you to learn the wrong things! :)

Yes, witches are real. Wiccans are not the only witches out there. Wicca is just a branch of paganism. There's many stereotypes about them.

Also, male witches are not called warlocks. Warlock means oathbreaker. Whoever calls themself a warlock has no idea what they're talking about. Male witches are called witches. (My brother calls them mitches to be a silly butt lol) Sorry guys, but D&D got it wrong! lol

People who practice Wicca are witches. However, the stereotypical "witch" that you want to be for halloween was created to make people fear the dark arts, and all things "evil"

yes they do, but they are really just practitioners of magic, just like there are islams who believe in this, christains, catholics, jewish who have all diffrent beliefs and their own spirts or whatever to worship. There is diffrent kinds of withces there are good ones and bad ones for ex, there are wiccans which is an actaul religion and it's witchcraft but it's good witchcrat they never harm anything they are really just worshippers of nature like for example mother nature and ay sister moon, and everything natural in life.they usually seem to weat a long white dress or cloak or something like that i saw in a documentary for this gen ed class I actually took in college called wiches and witchhunts. Wiccans are like non conformists and have their own ideas and are completly diffrent from most religions. another religion i know of is called satanism and the black pope was anton levay who founded the church of satan and came out with the satanic bible. Satanists are ppl that blieve in themselves and go for vital existance instead of anything spiritual and treat ppl the way they treat them and love those who deserved to be loved they never waste love on ingrates those who don't deserve to be loved. and they perform diffrent kinds of rituals like having a black altar and candles with a bell and the satanic symbol nearby and rinigng the bell and rotating. Satanist never hurt anbody or animals or anything like that. it says that they will only hurt those proabaly if someone does serious har to them but they must be aware of any consequences. also another type of witchcraft is called voodoo which came from haiti and africa they used to practice and there are aloso still cultures that practice magic to heal the sick. people just got paranoid and said witches were bad because they were so diffrent and went by there own beliefs people never knew anything about them so they got scared. that's why i think there is a stereotype of witches are eveil and everything they can be but it depends on what they believe in.

Yes there really are witches. All those above me flapping about them being evil are just fear mongers and know nothing about it.

Just to clear things up. Not all Wiccans are witches. Not all Wiccans do spells.

Wiccans exist. The stereotypical image of a witch does not, however.
