Yes.
When I turned 35, I finally had to tell her to stop because it was just too creepy.

What?! I loved that stuff! I liked the smell, the sensation and even the sense of being somebody important enough to require special care and attention. Vaporub also meant getting out of school and being permitted to watch tv from bed all day. It has many fond associations for me. Personally I find your attitude incomprehensible. It sounds to me like you just weren't able to appreciate the advantages of being sick for a few days.

Yes and I hated that shite! Worst is she'd do it when I was asleep because I would literally punch her for doing it as I was awake since I hated to gooey feeling and the greasy stain in my shirt it'd leave. So she'd do it as I was asleep and then sometimes you roll around when you sleep so sometimes I'd roll face down and mash vicks goo real heavily into my PJ shirts.

Oh yes, and right under your nose. OMG if the cold didn't make me feel bad enough but, I have to admit it did help me to sleep and I did feel better the next day.

I am happy it was just vapor rub, I have heard tales of parent's rubbing chicken fat and various other things in attempt to cure colds and other ailments. Yeah, Mom and her vapor rub rocks!

Thank goodness, it smells a lot more gentler these days. I could never stand how all that gunk sticks to my t-shirt even today.

Yes she did. Some times she would use Ben-Gay which was stronger than Vicks. It sure made your eyes water. :>)
