2) rocket powered sleds are used to test the responses of himans to acceleration. Starting from rest, one sled can reach a speed of 444m/s in 1.80s and can be brought to a stop again in 2.15s.

a) calculate the acceleration of the sled when starting and compare it to the acceleration due to gravity, 9.80m/s^2.

b) Find the acceleration of the sledwhen braking and compare it to the magnitude of the acceleration due to gravity.

In both cases just divide the velocity by the time to get acceleration a. Acceleration in g's = a/g.
