If it gets brought up (which I'm assuming is what you're concerned about) admit you said it and it seems you're sorry so make sure they know that too.
I hate people who don't own up to their actions.
If they're still mad at you. Well, you can't blame them. That's what happens when people go around running their mouths and you said yourself it's something you "shouldn't have said".

Say you're sorry, if they don't accept that, you will just have to move on, and put it down to experience. Try not to beat your self up about it, I think its really big of you to admit that you made the mistake in the first place. I really hope they can accept your apology, try not to worry.

Apologize to that person and whoever you talked to tell the truth.If it was the truth keep your mouth shut when something is told in secret you don't repeat and don't judge others.You wouldn't want others to judge you.Its not my job its Gods.

go to the person you said something about before they find out from anyone else and say to them "look i was upset about something and i should of come to you and talked about it instead of saying it to someone else and i hope you dont hate me but i wanted to tell you before you found out from someone else" ...its the only way you can get out of this situation without looking like a jerk

Come clean before it spreads or it will be ten times as bad when everyone has added to it.I'm sure if you apologize they will forgive you and you can't be that bad as you are already wondering how to put it right.
