I was single for a while & in my early 30's-the things that I think are a benefit is that you can come & go as you please, you feel independent & don't have to have the drama of a relationship. I also had a lot more money because I wasn't going out as often. But I am finding now it's nice to have a companion around to do stuff with.

OMG let me answer this question! I've been married 4 times and I've been single for 3 yrs. I love being single..... I'm not somone's personal pyshotherapist, I cook when I want as well as clean. I do whatever and whenever I want to do. If I don't want to put makeup on no big deal. If I put on a couple of pds. I don't hear no mouth. I don't have to worry about other women, I don't have to do a whole lot of stuff!!!

Does it count if I am not single?

One of the benefits of being single is you alway put yourself first and don't need to worry about someone else's concerns. No need to check in. No one to report to if your running late. Sounds selfish, I know...but it's true.

My boyfriend has a lack of consideration for me and after five years still acts single. Drives me crazy. I think that perhaps the single most important thing people must change when in a relationship that you don't need to consider as often when single.

1. I can spend my money as I wish
2. When my job gets ready to transfer me from state to state I dont have to ask permission
3.I cook what I want and when I feel like it.
4. Dont have to hear snoring at nt

When I was single I enjoyed not having to cook if I didn't want to LOL

I loved being able to go places and do things at a moment's notice. When you aren't single, you don't have that luxury.

I can eat what I want in the morning, I can pee with the door open, I can drink beer for breakfast, I don't have to put the seat down, I don't have to check with the "ball and chain" to see if it's OK to stay out late with the guys, etc.

Getting up and going to bed when I want, having the computer to myself, eating whatever appeals to me without explaining it to anyone, not dressing if I don't want to, having hot water in the shower and everything in the medicine cabinet is mine. If I want to date, I call someone and if I want to be left alone, I simply avoid the phone. I control the remote and watch TV when I want to and change channels when I want. Freedom!

Don't have to hide the numbers that you get.
Don't have to worry about him sleeping with your best friend.
No more monday night football every day of the week.
No more bad ego's.
No more jealousy.
And you won't have to cook to impress him or spend all of your money looking pretty, you can just be yourself and it's a hell of a lot less stressfull..//

Benefits- Nobody to answer to, can do things your way, no having to make compromises etc...

There is also a down side- no one to hold you when you cry, nobody to share the good times, nobody to think of when buying things and nobody to fill your heart.
