There is no age limit, interestingly enough the 31 year old male was the targetted market group for the recent "3rd generation" gaming consoles (Wii, ps3, xbox 360). That the age group they expect to have the highest %age of players.
And, yes the cost of the consoles show that this is an adults thing too.
I do feel some people play to much and "need a life".
Talking dog ... sorry, no clue.

No age limit. Regardless of age, as long as playing video games is just one part of a well-rounded life, why should age make any difference? Now, if you're talking about someone -- of any age -- whose entire life revolves around video games, that's another issue.
My dog talks. She'll tell you that on top of a house is a roof, the opposite of smooth is rough, and that her favorite ball player is Babe Ruff. I'm serious! Every day we ask her those 3 questions. Our friends and neighbors get a real kick out of it!
Er, talk about getting a life . . . :-)

well i don't know about the dog but , I still play video games and I'm 34 . In my opinion your never too old. and yes i have a life I said i play Video Games , not obsess over them. I'll give you an example when Halo 3 comes out i will not be standing in line. i wasn't standing in line for my PS3, or my 360.

I am 29 and still play video games on occasion. Its all about moderation. People can still play games and have a life, its the ones that sit on their butts all day feeling the need to complete the game in one sitting. Games these days are made for all ages to enjoy. We have come a long way since the days of Colecovision.

While has i fourteen year old girl i dont think at regardless of your age, every "Grown up" can have a little fun once a while dont you think so? If you love playing video games i dont see anything wrong with it, but just know your limits and dont make it an habit to let it control you. You should have a life over all.

Yeah, I agree with Ms. Know it all. I think they should play until they lose interest. I personally stop playing video games somewhere around 14. I miss the old Nintendo with Super Mario Brothers and the original Legend of Zelda. But that's just me......

I don't think there is an age to stop playing video games. Just as long your not obssessed or anything playing once in a while is fine at any age.

I think a smart person would avoid playing video games altogether. Don't have a clue about the dog.

I still play games. A lot.
Ive even been the official beta tester on a number of them with my name in the credits. Ive also gotten positions being the moderator on a number of game boards. It has also led to paying jobs.
I dont plan on quitting. Im hoping they will have direct plugging-in or holodecks available before Im a bedridden old man so I can continue playing.

I'm 43 and I see no end in sight. As long as I have the dexterity, I'm gaming. Talking dog? Try TV commercials. Those are real life right?
