Several of Israel's enemies are on the threshold of gaining the technology required to destroy the small, isolated country. Given that the US and Israel will not be able to stop them forever, what will the US do when the final battle comes?
The US has supported and supplied Israel through all her wars, but has never intervened militarily to assist her. Will they change that practice? Could the US respond with sufficient force in the time required? Would the US retaliate against any nuclear strike against Israel? I don't see them sending ground troops into Iran, Syria or Pakistan to seek revenge. With the requirements of Afghanistan and Iraq, the US simply does not have the troops, even if they chose to do so.
What will the US do?

Israel's enemies would have a lot of catching up to do and if there was ever a nuclear attack on her, she would probably know before it happened because of their amazing intelligence networks. They are way more prepared than America for protecting against foreign invaders. They've been honing their skills for about 50 years.

I agree with Rob. Israel CAN NOT be destroyed. Hence all the enemies. I mean think about it, why else would the Muslim world just HATE Israel? Because they are the chosen people of God. They've been persecuted for thousands of years and no war can or has ever been able to destroy them.

We sure have a bigger footprint there now, than we did 10 years ago. Bush has cleverly given the US a stronger position with our allies in the middle east, than was imaginable for the last 50 years. When the time comes to act, we will have a close and immediate presence. I can't say what we'll do. That's classified.
