I was induced earlier in the day and got sent home because they said I wasn't really in labor and wasn't dilating at all...even though I was crying it hurt so bad and I actually have a high tolerance for pain!! So my hubby and I go to meijer before we actually go home. I was sitting, waiting for a prescription when I was having my really bad cramps and felt a weird popping feeling. I didn't think much of it since the doctors and nurses said I wasn't near the real thing. So our prescription is finally ready and I get up and It felt like I was peeing!!! I was in pain and trying to get everything paid for and we went to the bathroom as fast as we could and it was all watery and lightly bloody looking so I assumed my water broke. What was really bad was that it was rush hour so it took forever to get to the hospital!!! We get there and i'm 5 cm dilated and I push my son out 5 hours later! I guess I really was in real labor!

I would say your nurses/doc was an idiot for sending you home after being induced if you were contracting at the time...Luckily everything turned out well for you. Congrats on your little boy!
I actually was stretched out on my bed(luckily on the blankets instead of under them). I had been up all night unable to sleep until 9 am and woke up at 11 am...Brought the laptop into the bedroom and was playing on pogo and felt a big gush. Grabbed a towel and ran to the bathroom thinking i'd just totally embarassed myself when I realized the fluid didn't look like urine. LOL dried off and when I stood up it gushed all over again.
I ended up having to be induced since I never went into labor on my own.

For my 1st son the doctor finally broke my water after 14 hours of labor and slow progression. He just didn't want to come out. He finally came after 25 hours of labor. My second son also didn't want to come out. After almost 2 weeks overdue I was induced. After 10 hours of labor my water was broke and still no progression. I ended up having a c-section with him. They are both still bull headed!! :)

I was in my doctor's exam room waiting for him at my 38 weeks appointment. I felt fine, no contractions or anything. My water broke all of a sudden, he came in the room, I was dialted to 4. He walked me across the street and my daughter was born 2 hours after my water broke.

i was sleep it was 5 am in the mornin it woke me right up!!!! it was 6 days b4 my due date......i was in no pain at all i had been dialted 3 centimeters for 2 weeks by that time....my doctor said she had to induce me because i wasnt in any pain and thats when the pain started i had my daughter 12 hours after my water broke

I was in the hospital, already laboring, with all three children. With the first, it didn't break until I was completely dilated and pushing.

In the living room, it broke in the morning but I had no contractions. I was induced the next morning, but I must say it was not pleasant to sit all day & all night with all that fluid leaking out.

In the hospital - doctors induced my premature labor for me; my mucus plug came out just before I clocked in for work that day.

i was in the hospital they induced me on 10th at 7am went back at 10:30pm and they had to break my water on the 11th at 6 am not to thrilling but it was hell. i was kinda hoping to be at the grocery store so i could drop a jar of pickles just for fun but owell

I had just gotten home from lunch with my mom. I thought that I just wet my pants! lol 34 hours later, my daughter was here.
