I know that it's sort of a no duh thing. An absolute value will of course be more than a negative number.

Are you sure you don't mean -2/4 > |c|? Because otherwise I don't see why -3/4 < |c| has no solution. |c| is always non-negative, so it's always greater than a negative number.

c can be any value.
