That would genuinely have a positive impact for these brave young men and women, Let's face you chickenhawk losers could care less about the troops and more about supposed slights. Its all about partisan politics. Most cons don't care about the troops. They are using them.We all know this was an unjust war. That is why there was no coalition. Its ashame our troops and their families have had to suffer.

To Mel-I have many friends who have been to Iraq. They are very angry they were sent there with no true mission and no coalition to back them up.You can thank Bush for that since he didn't seem to care that he was putting our troops in the middle of a mine field for no good reason.I hope your son returns home safetly

all human beings isn't born Republican. they are able to alter events in the event that they desire. There are greater desirable than merely the enormous 2. i'm watching for neither Republican nor Democrat could have lots success next election without or with rigging. all human beings is sick of the standard BS and that they are getting smart to the undeniable fact that professional politicians will tell the folk what they choose to take heed to, then do despite that's that they choose to do regardless of what they promised. even with each and every thing, a verbal promise can on no account be enforced. this is criminal for them to lie. human beings used to vote one occasion in opposition to the different occasion. They took what they seen to be the lesser of two evils recommendations-set. yet further and further, all human beings is understanding that in the event that they vote for the suitable candidate rather than against the worst, they are able to decide for somebody who will artwork for the folk. no person cares what the Republicans are doing because of the fact they have already made up their recommendations that they are not vote casting for them and that they are not vote casting for the complementary occasion the two. they're going to decide for brand spanking new blood and do away with the crooks as quickly as and for all via vote casting for the suitable qualified man or woman, whether or no longer they're self sustaining, Libertarian, green, or despite.

To back Mel up who is my friend, she has first hand experience as having a son in Iraq. I do agree with you though, politics can get in the way of things and curve america's view of the war in iraq. We are doing a lot better than everyone thinks.

People get upset about what they don't like.

Most people actually cannot comprehend how dangerous and harmful it is to go back into a battle when you are still exhausted and wounded from their last deployment. So, to many people, the mandatory rest period isn't an important issue.

Besides, it's easier to attack someone you don't like than it is to find a solution to a problem -- and that applies on both ends of the spectrum. Your post, for example, spends more time attacking people you disagree with than proposing solutions. You can do better. The choice is up to you.

If you give politicians that much power over the logistics of the troops they would loose miserably. War is to be fought by warriors, not politicians.

They don't want to bring up the troop relief bill since most of them aren't serving and want those in the service to do all the fighting for them. The moveon.org criticism is just a red herring

It's the dems that hate the troops, calling them killers of the innocent (Kerry, Obama, etc.) So whose the loser? The democrat party as it stands now is not only unpatriotic, but actually hate our military, voting to defund them not long ago, or did you conveniently forget that? Nice try at a rant, now take your meds and go to bed...

I have listened and I have heard no republican denigrate Mr. Webb's amendment except to say that it is unconstitutional or that they would like to vote for it but it is tied to a backdoor deal that they won't tolerate.

I'd be more interested in why Obama cut & ran rather than voting seeing that he was present 15 minutes prior to the vote. Is that the kind of chickenhearted president he'd be? Far to afraid of moveon to state his opposition.
