I guess but he'll lose all his fans and no one will come to home games.

He has been involved in running an illegal gambling operation that was unethical in the treatment of domestic animals. When asked to fess up he lied about it to his coach and the owner of the team (in addition to everyone else). He let down his fans and made fools of all of them who are respectable dog owners.
So he does not make any money for years and the sport does not get to see him play. Atlanta, are you that desparate?? What do you want to be known for? If he ever were hired back by any team how many of the people who are respectable dog owners could watch him and not feel sick to their stomachs thinking about what he did and wishing that he were tackled in mid throw even if he were on their team.
My answer is NO! Getting a job, ANY job is not a right or priviledge afforded only to the few elite. In an athlete's case, it is an opportunity to use their talents. It seems that Michael Vick has blown it. What kind of people deserve to become sports players? The stakes are much higher for individuals to be "on their toes" or above board ethically when they become celebrities.
Also, there is a big difference between Michael Vick's profession and what he got into trouble with. Dogfighting has been called a sport but it is not about good sportsmanship (which guides most human sports). Dogfighting is about the brutal exercise of money and power among sadistic individuals.
Again, sports fans, is this the kind of person that you want to see on the playing field? Does he deserve the opportunity to play just because of his talent? Or does anyone care?

NO, they need to put a Lifetime Ban on Vick from the NFL, like Major League Baseball has to Pete Rose Betted on the Game since The Day I turned 13 Years Old, and Been not allowed to attend anything involving Baseball since, the NFL will do the same to Micheal Vick.

No.
His participation in a large-scale illegal gambling operation should result in a lifetime ban. Illegal gambling and pro athletes together undermine the integrity of the sport.
Pete Rose was banned from baseball for life for gambling. Eight members of the Chicago "Blacksox" were banned for life for gambling. That scumbag NBA ref who was in cahoots with gamblers should be banned for life and so should Vick.
The integrity of the NFL comes before Vick's personal need to redeem himself on the field. Every player in the NFL needs to know that if you involve yourself in illegal gambling your NFL career is over. How else can fans trust that games aren't fixed? (And if Vick is dumb enough to risk everything on dog fights, he's dumb enough to shave points.)

I don't think he should be allowed back. Roger Goodell may let him back in, but which team do you think would want the PR nightmare? Also, he will spend at least one year in prison, in which he has not been playing football. I can't think of many teams that would take the risk on him, even if he were allowed back in. He was a great runner, but his QB talents were mediodre, at best. I hope Donovan McNagg don't read this, he will say it's racial.

Sure I do. I think he should be punished but I think that he should be able to play after his time served. But of course I'm a Falcons fan.

If he shows that he's been rehabilitated, then he, like anyone else who commits a crime should get a chance to prove himself. He should, however been kept on a short leash while doing so. Let the fans of the NFL cast judgement at that point.

unless there is some kind of rule that says no, then of course. If he's still got the skills, plus there will always be a market for shirts with his number amongst teenies and twenties.

I don't think he should be allowed to return to the NFL. He commited heinous crimes and killed innocent animals.
