This question has nothing to do with me but I just answered a question about what we would do if we found out our 13 year olds were having sex and three people said they would be proud if it was their son and angry if it was their daughter! I think that's one of the stupidest things in the world!

Parents like that obviously do not know how to do math if they think that girls can get pregnant because it takes two people(male and female) to make a baby. So boys can get girls pregnant too.

And I think parents like that are also hypocritical because they let their son do those things with girls and it's like, how do you think the parents of the girl feels? The same way you feel about your daughter doing those things.

What do you think?

And plus boys are just as likely to get STD's as girls.

I don't understand how it's SO much different between boys and girls. You're completely right about this, it makes no sense! Why is the girl so protected and the boy just shoved out into the world with praise???

Kinda like when a girl gets called a whore if she has sex and a guy gets hi-fives from his buddies when he does.

What's up with this???

uh, yeah, you're right, parents can be biased. It sucks. I'm a parent of a 14yr boy, and both of us worry A LOT. As parents of a boy, we have just as much responsibility to make sure our son behaves himself around girls, and shows respect for them. I've expressed to him I don't think he's old enough to have sex. If we were to discover he was having sex, (which I believe he hasn't.) He doesn't get a high five from me or dad. Instead he'll get a major talking to, and start making plans to get a job, have to make enough to pay his own rent in his own place etc. I figure if my kid thinks he's old enough to have sex, then he should be ready to deal with all the consequences - which could mean him stepping up to fatherhood. Shouldn't he already know how to support himself and someone else if he's going to do that? Even if he doesn't get anyone pregnant, it's still an ADULT decision so he's just opted himself to something bigger than his pee-pee.
Anyway,
He's had plenty of examples watching all my single mom friends growing up. He's gotten the picture and used to ask me where these kids' fathers were. He didn't get it because he always had his dad. I think a fathers view about sex is really influential here, too. To commend a son for getting laid or knocking someone's daughter up at such a young age just reflects irresponsible parenting and tells me the father is an idiot.

My neighbor's boy when he was 13-15 was out in front of his house every single night wrapped around his girlfriend like "rich'n'amy' in the "Zits" comic strip. It didn't matter if their friends were there or if his parents were there. I got the impression Mom would be disappointed if he didn't his gf pregnant by the time he graduated from high school. Just a trailer trash mentality, I guess.

My unspoken position with my step daughter was that after she turned 16, it was her body and her life, but that she definitely lacked the judgment to be responsible for her actions before then. Fortunately, she did the conservative thing and got a Masters Degree before she got married and had her first baby.

i totally agree with u...i also answered that question...as a 17 year old girl in high school it really pisses me off when people say stuff like that...i hate how boys have sex with like 10 girls but if it gets around that a girl has sex at a party then shes a skanky slu*...i think thats really messed up...the parents that say stuff like that r probably the parents of the guys who get some girl pregnant and when they learn that they girl is pregnant they act like its all the girls fault...i doubt they would still think that when they learn the son they're supossively proud of got some girl pregnant and now they will need to pay child support...some people r really ignorant! anyways i agree with u!

I completely agree.. It seems like these days all the fault is being dumped on girls. Just because they can get pregnant and boys of course can't. Like you stated... It takes 2 to have sex and make a baby. Male & Female. I mean... Parents need to realize the scar they make the child. Later on... things wil be dark for them....

Yeah, it's stupid. I saw that question, and sincerely hope that the people that have this opinion are trolls.

'My daughter? Oh no! I must send her to a nunnery!'
"My son? Fantastic! He's a man now! Go get yourself a drink, there's a good lad'.

It makes no sense at all. I think these people, if serious, obviously think the only consequence of underage sex is the physical one of pregnancy, which affects only girls. Wrong!

I have 2yo twin boys. I swear to god if i ever caught them having sex, i would smack their bums. When they were a teenager!
I think that is the world we live in though, a boy can do anything and a girl can be betrayed as a sl_t.
Not really fair ah?
Oh well there are two little boy's who will held responsible over here!

diverse persons have been answering each and each question. It wasn't like every physique replied your first question like that, and then a similar guy or woman replied your 2d question such as you stated. you recognize what I mean? So by utilising way of definition, it wasn't hypocritical.
