I had strep throat about two weeks ago and was put on antibiotics. They told me they would influence the birth control pill that I was on, so I lightened up a little when I went to get my new pack of birth control and started the pack a week and a half late. My husband and I have had sex without protection. Is pregnancy a strong possibility, or will the birth control already kick in after taking it for 3 weeks?

Antibiotics can affect the effectiveness of the pill during the time one is on the antibiotics so it is recommended to have an additional form of contraception for back up. I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they suggest.

rather...the final time my physician positioned me on antibiotics i asked with regard to the potential for it cancelling out my pill and replaced into advised that there is new analyze suggesting that it is not any longer as extreme threat as they as quickly as theory. So i'm specific you will no longer get pregnant...fairly because of the fact you took plan B too! stable luck :) x
