And if you say Bush going to war with Iraq, you better have a good reason. Think about Vietnam, Civil War, WWII, 1812, etc.
There are a ton of things that would alter history, please try to avoid the "what's hot now." If you can't, that's fine, but please be smart about it.

Franklin Pierce. The nation crumbled into the Civil War under his watch. By the times Buchanon and Lincoln entered office, the damage had been done. I'm not sure if the Whig candidate, Gen. Scott, would've been much better.
I hated Clinton, but the Republican Party needed to be taught a lesson. A lesson they still haven't learned yet.
Many people will pick Bush (43) because the ignorant can't even name every man to ever hold the office.

The Amnesty of 1986. It served to encourage millions of more illegal aliens to entry this nation, leech off our economy and public systems.
It has a direct impact on today and I'm sorry, but most old history is history of which the long-term impact cannot be changed at this date.
This situation can be changed for the betterment of our nation.
However, regarding past action, then President Andrew Johnson failed to provide safeguards to this nation, by not recognizing the lack of the 14th Amendment to exclude the children of illegal aliens from birthright citizenship.

Failure to learn the lessons from past wars/conflicts/police actions. So far about 3800 of our sons/daughters/moms/dads/brothers/uncles/aunts/friends/etc/etc/etc/...oh, yeah, I almost forgot, like our Decider apparently did...WHERE'S OSAMA?????
