The human view of this is ...living things are food. A great American scientist once said all food is bundles of light. Food is converted into energy by a living organism. The energy is released in a seemingly simple chemical reaction. Not so... food is converted by being burned in tiny actions in the body of the consumer. The result is not only heat and movement but also light. This can be measured by the radio waves given out by all living things. We can call this radio signal the aura of life. Most who are able to keep good health deal with their own healthy aura. How it is managed and changed is not for this paragraph. Now the real question is what is life and where does it come from. What chemical chain of carbon or nitrogen atoms begin life when a spark is fired near it. Is life started when a carbon atom sees a series of electrons begin to spin around the four atom-molecule?Of course it is.

all living things can be explained using organic chemistry. everything is made up from carbon which can be called "hydrocarbons"

b/c of carbons properties (ability to form 4 bonds - double, triple, singular) carbon can form long chains of up to thousands of chain)

all people consist of DNA which has a double helix structure. This structure consists of an sugar-phosphate backbone which are joind through the sequence of amino acids. This DNA then codes for phenotypes in living things which is why people look the way they do.

the primary chemicals in humans are nitrogen, phosphate and amino acids (there are 20 of them)

Sugar and spice and all things nice?

That's a rather general question just begging for someone to paste a thousand page Wikipedia article.

That said, all life (as we know it) is based on carbon.

Of course, there are dozens of other elements and thousands of different kinds of molecules. I'm sure somebody will inanely try to list them all.

I, for one, was made from sugar and spice and everything nice... I know a lot of folks that were made up of snips and snails and puppy dog tails though.
