Ugh. Don't you hate it when that happens ? Take it from someone who owns over a hundred designer handbags at like four hundred dollars a pop, it happens. I take it to my tailor b.cuz i trust her. You can CALL your local shoe repair shop and explain the situation to them if not then call the company and ask them for a replacement lock, you may have to pay for it but then you are guaranteed to NOT ruin the bag. Take it to your tailor or shoe repair shop & they will know what to do.

the only reason i am suggesting getting a new lock, is because if someone does try and fix it and it does end up ruining the bag more, you will even be more upset. it's happened to me.

A shoe repair shop will be able to fix it for you.

Take it to a shoe repair shop if it is leather. Take it to a cleaners that has alterations if it is fabric.

I don't think you can fix it. Unless it's a designer company. Try claires..

tack shop

If you know a place in your area where they sell equestrian supplies (saddles, crops, buckles) they could probably fix it for you.
