We are planning a trip this weekend to Disney World and Saturday is Scattered Showers and Sunday is Isolated Thunderstorms. Which is worse?

We live in FL. so there is no scheduling the trip when there is no rain because rain is always in the forecast!!

Considering that it's Florida, they're generally the same thing. Isolated Thudnerstorms are very hit or miss Pulse-Convection and Scattered Showers can also be Very Hit or Miss Pulse-Convection.

I am assuming by "worse" you mean which has the higher chances of rain. The two terms isolated and scattered are basically coverage terms as used by the National Weather Service.

In the case of isolated, the coverage of the forecast area is at or between 15% and 24%.

In the case of scattered the coverage is at or between 25% and 54%.

So, if you want the lesser chances of being under that thunderstorm. It is less likely with isolated.

Isolated and scattered are just about the same, but isolated is a little more scattered than scattered itself, however, beware of the ones that are severe, they are in the area right now due to a tropical desturbance.

i live in orlando and the weather has been a mess -- its not predictable like it usually is. sept is usually relatively dry and its been kind of wet. it looks like sunday would be a better day but its going to be a rainy weekend no matter which day you pick..
there is a messy low pressure system in the gulf that will make rain all weekend long. you are better off on sunday if it goes north -- the further north it is the less rain here.

There might be possibility a tornado will form if it's a thunderstorm. i think thunderstroms are worse they cause damage.
