when we Marylanders have been showing you for decades now how to STEAM it-- the RIGHT way?????

Stan P-- that's bunk. Nothing survives 20 minutes in a steam pot anymore than boiling. Boiling washes out the flavor.

No no no no-- you're missing my point. Steaming vs boiled when all odds are even-- steamed crabs vs boiled crawdads-- get it? You can't compare freshly steamed individual seafood items to complicated entrees like gumbo for crying out loud. We don't STEAM our crab soup! This shouldn't be a tough to understand question.

Because boiling kills germs? Steaming is not as effective.

We sure are opinionated, aren't we? Why ask a question if you want to argue with us? Maybe you need to get out more.

Steamed gumbo.... Steamed Paella..... I'm not feeling it.

EDIT: Yes, all of those are part of paella and some are in gumbo. NOthing against the fantastic seafood you guys have, but steaming just doesn't work across the board.
