I won't say that I never cussed when I was your age, because I did. But I left all those words outside of my parents house and NEVER used the F word. As you get older you'll find it's not such a cool word. But I can guarantee you, if my daughter said that word where I could hear her she wouldnt see any TV for a very long time because her TV along with her radio and a lot of other stuff would leave her room for a long time and she wouldnt go anywhere for a long time either. Learn to check your language at the door hun. Will be alot less stressful for you and your parents.

I don't know about "fair" but rules are rules and you have to follow them, unfortunately...
Just don't say it at home or anywhere else that you can get in trouble for saying it. I usually just type it out online or say it when nobody's around. A few times I said it at school when the teachers weren't around. XD
Weird story: In 2 of my classes, people talk to each other and use curse words out loud, even across the room and either the teacher doesn't hear or doesn't mind. o_o....
btw, I really don't get what the big deal is about cursing. They're just words that are used worldwide and does no harm to anyone (unless they're really sensitive). Everyone is getting used to them and adults even use them! Words like "dumb" and "stupid" have been used to much that they are no longer considered "bad words". I bet that's what's going to happen to the current "bad words" in 10 years or so.

To you it may not be fair, but I'm glad your parents are being vigilant of your speech. Have you ever heard someone talking and saying that word constantly? I have a daughter that every other word from her mouth is the F word. She sounds cheap, uneducated, dirty and now her 3 year old is picking it up. There is really no reason to say that word. There are 1000's of other words in the dictionary to accurately describe how you feel without lowering yourself to using profanity.

Yes. You'll find that later on, you'll be happy you don't have the entire litany of curse words coming out of your mouth when you get upset. Guys find it very unattractive and it tends to push others away. It's easier not to begin the habit of cussing than it is to stop cussing once it becomes a habit. Your parents only have your best interests in mind. Believe it or not, they actually know something every once in a while. Even a broken clock is correct twice a day. ;-)

Yea its fair, cause if you live under you parents roof, then you go by their rules. I got my mouth washed out with soap for saying "shut up" when i was around 5 thats how strict my household was. But when you go to middle school, expect cussing, cause thats all it is in 6th, and of course everyone thinks its cool but really it makes you sound immature. Actually to be honest i got into the whole seen a little bit, but now im in 7th and I stop myself from starting to say it and im getting rid of my bad habits and i havent cussed since school started and pretty much no one even bothers cussing cause its not all that cool.

Absolutely. You need to be corrected on bad habits.
Using bad language...especially when you are an adult, makes people think that you are immature.
People won't want to hire you if you have a potty mouth because using bad language at work can drive customers away and make other employees feel uncomfortable.
Break the habit now.

If your family objects to using it, then you shouldn't be either. The more cussing you use, the more likely you will use it in inappropriate situations where it can hurt you. For instance, in school, on the job, in court, at your loved one.
There is no excuse for people cussing at each other, although I will admit, that I've done it as well. I can guarantee that it does NOT help the situation. Cussing at stuff (car, fixing the dishwasher, etc.) actually helps get it fixed (according to the man in my life).
