I work hard this money. Shouldn't I be the one who decides where it goes.
I work hard for my premium health care, why should I pay for others' that don't want to work hard?
I work two jobs 60 hours per week. Why should even any of my tax money go to people that refuse to work?

Is the democratic point of view, "the harder you work, the more we take"?

The philosophy of the Democratic party has become the philosophy of Socialism. Like Robin Hood they rob those who work hard to pay the poor substance abusers, homeless, and those who do not work, not because they are not able to work. It is because they don't want to work. They have too many programs that don't help anyone and are bogged down in bureaucracy.
Republicans have a philosophy that is Capitalistic, but in there is room to help the mentally, and physically disabled, children, and hopefully veterans who have fought for their country. I hope I never have to see a homeless vet. We do need to pay for a strong military and better intelligence capabilities. I thoroughly believe in paying for necessary services. With that said, I also think we need permanent tax cuts so that we can keep more of our hard earned money. That helps the economy grow. Our government is too big as it is and if the Republicans don't win the vote in '08, It will get even bigger and more wasteful, A big government cannot be efficient. We need to cut the fat from the government to make it more effective. Yes, health care reforms are needed for everyone. But the socialistic idea is not the ideal. We do not need the government dictating our lives. What comes after they tell us what kind of health care we need? Once something like that is put into place, we will be stuck with it forever! We need to be free to make our own choices.
And this is not a democracy. It is the Republic of the United States!

Stop and look at your high and mighty attitude for a moment. It would be lovely if the world were that simple. Most people WANT to work, and work hard, and the welfare system, honestly, really sucks...just try going through it sometime or asking someone who has to deal with it.

But there are large numbers of people who live in areas where employment is scarce to be had...not to mention those who never had the opportunity to get an education that would qualify them for a job which pays enough to make a decent living without help. Heck, there are 20-40 applicants per job nowadays, how much worse is it if you only have a high school education and competing with 200 other candidates for a minimum wage position?

And seriously...just try running your OWN business and see how expensive it is to provide health benefits to employees. They are doing you a FAVOR by giving you health care.

You think there's a better solution to the health crisis? Say something practical to do instead of just bitching about what you can't.

And why are you working two jobs anyway? Just how willing would you be to give up one of your jobs to someone else who really needs it and is willing to work just as hard as you or harder?

You think YOU have problems? Try living in a third world country where most people have to poop into a ground trench every day, have no water to clean themselves, have to eat food contaminated by maggots and flies, and have no roof over their heads to protect them from blazing heat and icy winds.

Oh and by the way...consider yourself lucky you can even gripe at all this way. In many places, saying such things against the government would have you arrested, beaten, tortured, and executed. Remember that THOUSANDS of your ancestors died precisely so you could have exactly the kind of life you are living now with such luxurious privileges. You'd be wise to get off your high horse and appreciate it.

The democrats don't have that philosophy. What has happened throughout history is that one party has the control for a while, gets corrupted, makes stupid mistakes, and they get voted out of office.

As such, democrats always take office after republicans, and vice-versa. I remember that Clinton took office after republicans had been in power for 12 years. We had a HUGE national debt, so taxes had to be raised.

After 8 years in office, the national debt was paid down, and the government had a surplus. George W. Bush decimated this surplus in a year. Now, after almost 8 years of republican leadership, we have the largest national debt in history. No doubt, the next president (who will probably be a democrat) will have to raise taxes to pay down the debt.

Democrats don't spend your money, they kindly ask that it be paid back after the republicans spend it all.

I do have a incredibly stable theory in this, and one I e-mailed to the whitehouse.gov touch Us line. in case you and your responders like the assumption, foyer for it! What if the Democrats and the Obama administration merely pass the Republicans and go directly to the source for "greater money" for the government---the billionaires (like Warren Buffett, Oprah Winfrey, invoice Gates, et al.) and multi-millionaires (like the Clintons, the Obamas, Jay Rockefeller, etc.) and advise that they act on their own to examine a undemanding proportion activity-bearing mark downs account (held in escrow) into which they VOLUNTARILY PAY the 39% fee they have publicly recommended as undemanding---the comparable fee used interior the wealthy Clinton years and the linked fee to which the EXPIRED Bush/GOP u . s . a .-destroying deficit-inflicting tax cuts could have been back had the GOP no longer held each little bit of pending legislations HOSTAGE, such because of the fact the very needed New start up Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, the debt ceiling difficulty, all budget concerns, and the kin-assisting extension of unemployment reward. isn't this a neat theory? those people have already long previous public with their help of the 39% fee and characteristic indicated their willingness to do their "undemanding proportion" in helping our infrastructure and paying down the two our national Debt and our out-of-administration DEFICIT. instruct the boastful GOPers that we can do deficit relief with out them! the 2d area of this concept is to PUBLICIZE the turning out to be money plus activity so as that the yank people can rather WITNESS the FOLLY of the Republicans' insistence on no longer having those taxes to be utilized in paying down our debt and deficit! Get much greater people making greater effective than $250,000 a 12 months to leap on the BANDWAGON and easily thumb their noses on the corporate-colluding Republicans by employing voluntarily PAYING into this escrow account the 39% determine, letting the activity be cumulative. The stipulation may well be that this money can rather be used to PAY DOWN THE DEFICIT...in step with threat by employing government Order if all individuals agree. Then while the GOP is going after our democratic base's social risk-free practices internet courses to "decrease spending" we can element to the escrow account and easily say, "Why no longer basically use those money rather?" LOL...i'm hoping the White abode and the Democrats try this. foyer like loopy, and that they probably will!!

Funny, I never heard any Republican or Democrat ask me how much of my tax money I wanted to spend on defense and war. If the Republicans don't tax anyone who's been getting my tax money?

You have it all wrong. The Democrats think everyone should pay their fair share. They feel people with allot of money, like over $100,000 a year can well afford to pay more taxes than someone making say $30,000 a year. It is the Republicans that think rich shouldn't have to pay taxes and lay the burden on the middle class. We would have less people on food stamps and government paid heath care if the rich were not so greedy. Pay everyone a living wage and we could probably drop welfare to practically nothing. You say you work 2 jobs, how would you like to work 2 jobs at minimum wage and still not get heath care, or have enough money to feed your children. Don't blame the Democrats, it is the Republicans that have brought us to the Recession and we will be in a Depression before it is all over.

Several reasons. First of all the elitists should decide what's best for you, because you're not as smart as they are. Second, it's your fault that those who need your money don't have enough for themselves. Then there's the fact that you're selfish for wanting to hog your money for such things as possible cigar smoking, your stupid religion, or donating to those evil Republicans. Comrade Hillary will decide what's best for you, thank you very much.

Some of my money is going to subsidize the corn you eat, your education (even if you don't get Fin. Aid, it is still subsidized). I will also end up paying for some roads you drive in, the cops and firemen who come to your home. I also pay for your water to be purified. What the hell are you doing with my money. You are living like a democrat...off my hard work. Damn you!

Well, like my dad always said. In order to make money, you need to have money. If you send a ship out mty, it will return mty. If you send it out full, it will return full. Point being is that it takes money to make money. If you have to use 100k to make X amount of lives better. Then do it because it better down the road for all.

I talked about a government program that I came up with and Rep shoot it down in a heart beat (my tax money). Point being is that when I said I guess you would rather have them fall deeper into the cracks, well I guess he got the point.

political parties breakdown into two different groups. The Republicans and Democrats. It is very easy to decipher between the two.
Republicans don't want you to have any money, While Democrats take your money.
Now can you see the difference. Simply said, both parties want the general public poor.
