Cuz if everyone found out what was really happening and it spread to everybody including the dummies. There would be an armed revolution. And we Americans are way to comfy to stage an armed revolution...SO its better for some people to just deny it to themselves and say "they MUST know better than me" than to actually have to get up and do something, Thats why. FEAR.
