I saw a film a few months ago on Sky movies where this woman is a writer and her son had died. She moved to a house by the sea by a small village she used to travel to a island she could see from her house with a lighthouse and there was a guy that lived there and when she asked the people that lived in the village, they all said he was dead.. so she was seeing a ghost. I think her son was haunting her too. At the end there's killings n such, and the guy that's meant to be a ghost jumps off the lighthouse, and then she jumps or something, I can't remember it exactly.
I doubt it from that description.. but I was wondering if anyone know what the film was? And if it's available as a book?
Also if you know, who is the actor who plays the ghost in the film?

This was called half light.It has Demi Moore in it.She is the writer and after her son drowns right outside her home she rents a place to write not knowing that her best friend and husband have hired a guy to be pretend to be a ghost so that she goes crazy and kills herself.Little do they know that there is a real ghost at the light house and at the end he helps her.The guy that plays the hired guy/ghost also plays in Masterpiece Theatres version of Elizabeth the Virgin Queen.

Wonderful OLD movie- "The Ghost and Mrs Muir" Rex Harrison starred in the original film, but I think one was made years later. Yes, great story!

I know that one she saw a ghost but I think her son was alive. It was Rex Harrison I believe. Not sure if thats the one you're looking for.
