The biosphere is made up of all that is living on earth, from the smallest bacterium to the largest whale.
The biosphere is a life-supporting global ecosystem, where living things depend on each other and the environment. The ecosystem includes all living organisms and the abiotic or nonliving environment on which they depend for their energy and the nutrients they need to live.
Man is a part of the biosphere. He depends on the living & nonliving environment for his existence.
Man's interference with the environment has resulted in
deforestation, desertification, soil erosion, loss of biodiversity, acid rain, ozone depletion .& he is responsible for the phenomenon of 'global change'. which is affecting the biosphere.
