I spilled some pasta sauce (alfredo, not marinara) on my modal/cotton/Lycra shirt, and it left a small oily-looking spot. What products can I use to get it out? How should I wash the shirt?

Please help - this shirt is brand new and I don't want to throw it out!

If you have not washed it and set the stain in yet. sprinkle the stain with cornstarch and rub it in to absorb the oil. then launder and do not put in the dryer until you see if its all gone. the dryer will set the stain permanently.

actual our TEPP instructor taught us this one and gave us a duplicate of the conventional stains and this is therapy. in the experience that your outfits have stains like oil and fat that's what you will do: Soak the oily spot in soapy heat water for an hour. Then rub the stained area thoroughly. Rinse nicely and dry under the sunlight. So that's extremely basic.

Try using Spray n Wash and hot water do not put the shirt in the dryer let it air dry, if the stain is still not gone try washing it in hot water and vinegar this has worked for me in the past.

Goop waterless hand cleaner. You can find it in the auto section of Wal Mart. It's the stuff mechanics use to clean their hands. Leave it on for about twenty mins and launder as usual. I just removed a greasy gravy stain from my jeans with it. Great stuff!

Maybe try a dab of Dawn grease cutting dish soap on it, scrub it in good, then wash as usual. I've never tried this but I would if I needed to.
