Since I was a child, I would hear songs being played either on the radio or on my records/cds/tapes at home. And the songs would play over and over in my mind whenever I tried to concentrate on something, such as reading. I obviously had trouble reading books in high school, because every time I wanted to read, a song would come on in my mind, and there was no way to get rid of it. Period. I have "perfect pitch" and can hear the musicality in the songs EXACTLY as they are heard aloud.
For the past several years in my 32 years of living, this occurance began decreasing, and I was able to do things that once would have been impossible for me to do, like go to college and get straight As. However, now I'm having issues with this again. Why is my mind doing this, and what can be done to help alter it without medications?
The song stuck in my head right now is "Don't bring me down" by E.L.O. :-)
