The Cubs have a winning record against teams over .500, which would be every team in the playoffs. And for you White Sox fans who are jealous of the Cubs this year need to look back to 2005 and see that many Cubs fans rooted for them. Cubs in six over the Red Sox.

I don't even think they can go to the World Series. Granted everybody said Cardinals wouldn't make it last year (let alone win) you never know. I just don't think the Cubs are consistent enough and they are going to have to work A LOT harder (or Brewers, whoever goes) because the other teams are a lot better. The Cardinals went 6 or 7 games last year at the playoffs so it shows they'll have to work harder! But really, I doubt they could do it, but you never know! It will be interesting.

People want to say "Look at St. Louis last year". But that was the exception to the norm. The Cubs are nothing more than an average team in a horrible division. The last time they beat a team with a winning record to win a series was when they beat the also lowly Brewers in late June. They have not won a series against a good team in a long time!
Don't expect them to go far. They are not that good of a team.

No, I will put my life savings on the line to say the WS Champs will not come from the AL!
Cleveland, Boston, Anaheim, New York are better then any team the NL can through up against them.
Like the NFC in football the NL is just terrible!

I honestly believe that the Cleveland Indians will be the 2007 World Series champs.
And to the White sox fans that wants the Cubs to lose miserably, that's pathetic. You would think if your south side team can't get in, you'd be happy for the city itself, it shows how petty you are.
