Here in the South, everything is a coke. That is our generic term. If you call it a pop or a soda you will get laughed at. Of course, if you are ordering something you are more specific and ask for Sprite, or whatever.

Depends on where you live! My husband's from California where they call it soda. He moved here to Michigan where we call it pop. He still calls it soda after 10 years.

POP. In Nebraska at least. I think in the eastern part of the country they say soda though.
