someone has a simple idea or statement, but they chose to use all these huge words and an overly pretentious tone and manner when they share these ideas in class?
this girl in my class always does this, she is intelligent but she always speaks like shes the president giving a speech, using hand gesturs, and annoying facial expressions, and complicated language.... i just feel its so fake and annoying!!!
there is no way that anyone can be that naturally uptight and professional all the time.
does anyone else feel this way, please share your stories

It gets on my nerves. When you're giving a speech you have to speak the people's language. What I mean by that is make it understandable so people don't need to carry a pocket dictionary when you talk to a person like this. I appreciate you trying to sound professional ,but you're not getting the point across to me like that. Gestures don't bother me to much.

I try to overlook it. It's most likely due to low self-esteem, so they try to make themselves sound intelligent. Good luck. 2D
