Have you noticed a flood of 'McCanns are innocent' stories in the UK press since the weekend. Within the stories most of those attributed with saying they are innocent are simply referred to as 'a source close to the McCanns'. That Source is none other than their new media advisor Clarence Mitchell., newly appointed to the McCanns pauroll, who has gone into overdrive feeding his contacts in the UK press with 'McCanns are innocent' stories. Were you fooled ?

Now they aretrying to change what was originally said - Kate apparently now said 'Shes gone' and not 'They have taken her', Jane saw pink pyjamas and not a blanket and the man was heading towards, wait for it, Murats house, and not the other way as was first said and the worst of all, Gerry is now convinced that an abductor was in the shadows and had opened a door (Gerry originally said that he thought that Maddie had gone to Gerry and Kates room, having been disturbed by the twins! Do they really think they can get away with this blatent re-writin of events? Do they think they can fool the whole world?

I have noticed for some time that the entire British media seems to be heavily biased in favour of Mr and Mrs McCann - with the exception of the Evening Standard which the other day had a really good, very neutral article. Refreshing to read something unbiased for a change.

Clarence Mitchell chucked in a £70,000 salary to become their spokesperson........hummmmmmmm I guess he really believes they are innocent??
I guess he must think it's worth it. Of course when he has organised Kates book release and then the film, he will get some of the credit and reap the rewards.
And NO I have not been fooled.......from day 1 till now my thoughts on the McCanns and their spin doctors (excuse the pun) have not changed. GUILTY OF CHILD NEGLECT, and possibly more. Poor Maddie is the only one worth thinking about.

Must say, although i'm not on Clarence's team, he's doing a better job than Justine McGuinness, who couldn't even read out loud from an A4 sheet. He's on the ball, good at acting, (letting on he's believing everything he's spoofing), and will do ok for a while, until he falls foul of the media. Then it'll be goodnight, and "why did i give up such a great goverment job with such a salary...................

Actually, having worked in the media for 5 years now I am well aware that most times an anonymous "source" is quoted, there normally is no source.

It's usually something inflammatory made up by the article writer to sell units/get hits which is then attributed to an "unnamed source" thus sidestepping any pesky issues about them making up the news to shift more copies.

It's a disgusting practise, but it's frighteningly common.

there has been a lot written about them & there 'wonderful' love for each other. but I dont think they have been cleared of anything there isn't enough facts according to the portugese judge to question them again. One day the truth will come out. there was talk the other day of the church in portugal being searched, & today an article on a pet crematorium. One sure fired way to find out once & for all is as I've said many times is to give them a lie detector test.

Big campaign! I guess they want to put their view of view across and why not. However i must admit that i haven't changed my mind. I know some people think it harsh but then we're all entitled to our opinions and feelings. No matter how well the new campaign goes ... Facts are that and as others are quick to remark ... It won't change anything. Those happy to quote newspapers articles right now are same people who rubbished them before, claiming you can't believe everything you read in the press.

I think the point here and the lesson to be learned is, you can't leave your children SAFELY alone in a house/holiday apartment or anywhere else for that matter. There should be a prosecution pending for child neglect at least. Killers? Time will tell. On evidence supplied by newspapers etc, I wouldn't like to be the one to throw the switch on the electric chairs on this one.

PR is an amazing thing.

Strangely it's not usually parents of missing children that use it.

Still the McPro's have lapped it up left, right and centre and it's given them something to crow about for a couple of days.

I have a theory that he'll start hiring private planes to do a leaflet drop soon and have all us McAnti's wearing white armbands.

I don't know which I find more revolting. The idea of a 3 week old corpse being carted around is bad enough, but recent reports of 'innocence' such as dirty nappies and rotting meat is the outside of enough. Anyone thinking of hiring a car in Portugal, wear rubber gloves!
