= 1.49 x (1 / 10^5)
= 1.49 x (1 / 100,000)
= 1.49 x 0.00001
= 0.0000149

9.993 x 10 ^-2
= 9.993 x (1 / 10^2)
= 9.993 x (1 / 100)
= 9.993 x 0.01
= 0.09993

All you need to do is move the decimal place to the left.

For your first problem, move the decimal to the left 5 places, since you have 10^-5. You should get 0.0000149.

If your problem was 1.49 x 10^5, you would move the decimal to the right. Hope this helps!

what are you converting them to? If decimal form, in the first, you would have .0000149.
