In the UK in 2001 (the last Census) the average life expectancy of a woman was 81 and for men it was 76. Women have always lived 5 years longer than men - they just do!
However, life expectancy has increased dramatically in the last few years. Women now average 85 and men 80.
Obviously, people who smoke and / or drink a lot will not reach these ages. The same goes for those who are obese.

Life expectancy tables give average life expectancy depending on year of birth. For example, someone born today would expect to live to 79 if female, and 74 if male, an age difference of 5 years (see the Social Security Administration Actuarial Tables at www.ssa.gov).

Hopefully, well over the age of getting a bus pass!! I have 8 yrs to go and I will enjoy every bl**dy minute of going wherever I want, whenever I want (for half price or FREE)! Bus fares, at the moment, SUCK!!
