Do I understand correctly?
rt(6x-2)=rt(3x+10)
Square both sides
6x-2=3x+10
6x-3x=10+2
3x=12
x=4
If it's rt(6x) -2=rt(3x)+10, that's a whole different ball
game.
For this version you will end up with a quadratic equation, and x=3/2 or3

Do you mean sqrt(6x) - 2 or sqrt(6x - 2)? Same question on the other side.

If sqrt(6x - 2) = sqrt(3x + 10), square both sides to get 6x - 2 = 3x + 10. You should know how to proceed.

if the question is : (sqrt(6x))-2=(sqrt(3x))+10
==>(sqrt(6x)) / (sqrt(3x))=12
==>6x / 3x=144
==>2=144==>the quesion is wrong!
but if it is:(sqrt(6x-2))=(sqrt(3x+10))
==>6x-2=3x+10
==>3x=12
==>x=4
