Hello!! I'm currently 21 wks pregnant! & 21 years old!!...I had the strangest dream last night.. I was in labor!! & it was as scary as hell!! I know this is what womens bodies do, i know we all can.. but can i really? i was just SOOO scared, you have no idea, i mean, i think i will pass out with the very 1st contraction! i consider myself a strong woman.. but sometimes i feel this is too much!
i am very happy about this baby.. i just started to feel him kick.. It's wonderful..but i'm like a little girl so scared!! & i've dreamed about this before.. & i was just as scared.. i don't know what to do! i know i sound like a child..! & if i tell my husband this he wont understand & my mom would say ''see??? you are too young for this, you should have waited'' it is probably true but this pregnancy was not planned.. This baby will be very loved thou =]
Am i the only one who feels like this?

You are having the same feelings every sensible pregnant woman in history has had. It is natural to be concerned, but
Don't worry, you don't have to know anything. Your body knows what to do. When the time comes, your body will adjust and adapt to the changes that are occurring.
To me, having had two children, this is one of the times when the handy work of God is so obvious.
Who would believe that that small place in your body could expand enough to let a being of 5 or more pounds come out safely, and then that place returns to it's original size,
then your breast start creating food for this new being, you have everything you need in one place. How amazing is that?
The miracle of birth is that once it is over, you have this wonderful little being to love, and he is part of you and your spouse, so it is love multiplied.
Congratulations.

I was 15 yrs. old when I got pregnant. I thought that it was going to be like the soap operas or movies that you seen on TV when they would say push and all of a sudden a cute little baby would come out with no source of effort or pain. Well now I know it's not like that. So many women are different some could be in labor for a few hours other for a couple of days. I started feeling contractions on a SAT. around 1PM and I didn't have my son until 5:30 PM on TUESDAY. That was hard and of course you get scared because you think you won't be able to do it. Trust me you can. Every woman when is there first time thinks so many things but don't get stressed about it. Any way you're going to do it(go in labor).
Talk to you're husband tell him how you feel you don't loose anything by trying.
I wish you and you're little one the best ***congrats**

i am 22 years old and im 33 weeks pregnant soon to be 34 weeks. this is my first child. i too have had the dreams of going into labor, and the closer it gets the more scared i get. i too have felt like at times theres just no way i can do this. im not ready, im not prepared i think of all those things especially when i wake up in the middle of the night cause i cant sleep because i cant get comfortable. but the fact of the matter is we can do it, and we will do it, and we will be better for it in the long run. i think every woman feels like this with her first pregnancy and i think its completly normal. i think its just cause we fear the unknown. we have never even come close to knowing what this experience is going to be like. we hear good and bad experiences from everyone and it scares us crazy cause of course we automatically always assume the worse. anyways just know that if yo have faith as small as a mustard seed you can move the tallest moutains. god bless and good luck!

No, you're sure not. I'm going in tomorrow morning to be induced and I'm scared as he**. And this is my 3rd child!!
You wouldn't be human if you weren't nervous. Your brain sort of blocks out memories of how painful labor really is, so everytime it happens I think "man, it didn't hurt this bad the last time..." No one is really, truly ready for a baby, so don't think you're too young. I think you're the perfect age!
Yes, it will hurt some, but that will go away once you get an epidural (if you're planning on one). You still have a long wait ahead of you...don't start stressing just yet!

I'm 20 years old and 32 weeks pregnant. Pregnancy has always freaked me out! Now that she's in me, I know she has to come out so I just have to make sure she's healthy!
Anyways- I'm scared to death of the whole birthing thing. I can't wait until she's here, but Im so nervous about her coming out! I moved cross country about a month or two ago and have just now been able to sign up for the lamaze classes and they don't start until October so that makes me even more nervous!
Anyways- I just wanted to let you know Im scared too, but Im sure we'll both handle it one way or another as long as our babies are healthy! Good luck!!

Don't worry it will be o.k. There's always the epidural! I thought I'd have mine natural delivery then after 4 hrs of labor I had the epidural, everything went great. With my second one, just in January this year, I requested the epidural almost as I went into the hospital. It rids you of the pain, you have all the sensations, just no pain, it's great. Everybody has fears, our baby was planed but I still wondered if it was the right decision, now I can't even remember my life without my babies!

Heck no! All mothers go through this. It is the first time mommy thingy mabob. Hee hee. Just think about seeing your baby's smiling little face and knowing he is yours. Loving him, watching him grow up. It will be a beautiful thing to feel.
(By the way I was implying the 'he' thing as to I don't know the gender.)

I'll bet every first time mom feels that way, but you WILL be able to do it. There are over 6 billion people in this world and all those women gave birth so you can too!! Congrats!
