Yes it's the same in our house too, you never can tell how long a minute is. It's so infuriating! Another thing they say in our house is "OK, I'll do it now in a minute" do they mean they're going to do it now (straightaway) or in a minute (later, and how long is a minute anyhow) which? It just doesn't make sense!

I asked my partner to hoover whilst I picked up our son, got the 'in a minute' response. This was at 7.15pm - its now 9.30 and I'm still waiting x

If it's household stuff (washing up etc) never. If it's a plug changing or something then I start to do it myself and get an immediate response.
