I am close-minded and I know it. Who says I have to be "tolerant, politically correct, and liberal. ?" That is the biggest bunch of hokum to ever work it's way out from under a rock.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. Unless someone confronts them, or they have a life changing event make them decide to change, they continue to be close minded.
It is difficult to be close minded about the obvious in this day and age.
Open minded but far from it? Yes this is also very common. There are so many limits people place in their own minds.
Sometimes, I've noticed that even when confronted with undeniable and irrefutable truth about a given topic, people will refuse to believe, not because they know it is true, but because of how they view themselves - that is - they view themselves as being separate or not part of this truth.
Very strange indeed.

Yes and yes. People who are closed minded can't see that they are because they see nothing beyond what they know. They can't see that there is other stuff out there, and that the two groups don't exactly match.
I have also known some who think they are open minded, but really they're just a little more so than their comparison group (parents, friends, whatever that might be). But I wouldn't say that all people who believe they are open minded really aren't. I truly believe some are.

Do you think that people who accuse other people of being 'close minded' are, in fact, being 'close minded' themselves to the possibility that the others may indeed be open minded.
Contrary to what you may believe, people are not necessarily 'close minded' if they disagree with you.

Close minded people never know they are close minded. If they knew, they wouldn't be closed minded anymore.
The opposite is also true; many will brag about how open minded they are, but in fact they are just as selective and biased as any closed mindie~

Correct in both cases.
Some people are proud of being closed minded. They carry their certitude like a shield before them.
And right you are about people who think they are so open being sometimes the worst offenders.

No, they don´t have a clue about it!! That´s why they are close minded! And generally they are refractory to change!
Open minded people recognize more mistakes and can change for better!
