I had this problem with my daughter. I was consistently measuring 7cm too big and i was sent for another scan. It turned out that I had a low lying placenta and the baby was lying sideways at the top half of my uterus being stubborn by refusing to move down at all. She did get in the correct position in time for the birth though and the placenta had grown further away from my cervix by then to so I was able to have a natural birth. Trying to breath normally towards the end of the pregnancy was hilarious! I don't know how people manage with multiple births.
It can mean that you have a lot of amniotic fluid.

After 20 weeks a rule of thumb is, your uterus is about as many centimeters tall as you are weeks pregnant. So get a tape measure and measure from your pelvic area to the top of your uterus and that might give you an indication. It's not a substitute for a good u/s though. Good luck in your pregnancy!

K first, you are probably bloated! Second, i hadn't gained 5 pounds till at least 12 weeks! Wen you are pregnant you really only need an extra 300-400 calories a day! Be careful!

I had about 6 different due dates before they settled on one. And even then she did not arrive on her due date.

You could be further on than you think, or it could be a big baby or- it's possible it could be Twins! I would just wait and see what your scan reveals and try not to worry and enjoy! :-)
