you support her. buy her pads, etc.

It is disturbing why you guys wont tell your mom, especially since she can help her.

From this age girls can start having their first period. Others take more time. Not everyone is the same. What is so worry
that you can't tell your mom.

help her through it with any questions she has. If u can of course. Also try convincing her that telling ur mom is the BEST thing to do...her doctor will also need to know when she got her first period, and what its like...ye its kinds embarrissing to talk about, but her doc is gona need to kow...plus alot of ppl say that once u've started getting ur period that u need an gynocologist. idk bout that since i have had mine scince i was 12, and im almost 17..never bin to one, but its a good idea...so do ur bets to get her to tell ur mom...plus its a "bonding" exsperiance. well thats wht my mom 1 fren said when her youngest got hers...that was also one of the weirdest days i have ever lived through..lol hope thios has helped, and tell i sis, its NBD, and its normal, so dont worry, telling is the easiest part of getting it.

Be there for her. Show her what products to use, and share your experience. If you have no experience with it, encourage her to talk to mom or a girlfriend about it. It is a little embarrassing for her at first, but it is so normal because every female goes through it.

Encourage her to tell your mom herself, like, I'm assuming since you're older, you once did. It's no big deal, it happens to every woman! Be supportive and if she still won't tell your mom, maybe hint around to your mom that she's acting odd and maybe your mom will approach her and they can talk about it.

Well its normal for females to have periods, why is that, that neither her or you can tell you mom. I don't understand why she wouldn't want to tell her mom what is she going to think when she sees stained under garments.

well, someone needs to get your sister some feminine hygiene products... so i guess whoever is responsible for your sister (guardian) will need to get her these products.

i dont know what else to say.

your sister needs to be reassured this is a normal thing for a young woman, and there is nothing to be frightened of, also.

take care.

I got my period when I was eleven and home alone.
But I don't understand why you can't tell your mother?
Just help her out, if she's cramping, give her a heating pad or something.
