A greek assembled several gears to make robotics open temple doors, then some other guys worked the technology up to the 47 geared Antikythera Mechanism, in 320 BC.
Others built great robots to patrol the Island of Rhodes.
Some technology was lost through the ages, and we suspect there were computers and turbojet engines in use sometime around 20 million years ago, because of the geode found that contains an large spark ignitor for a jet engine, and the ancient Sanscrit parchments, and the clay tablets describing such things.
The Piri Reis Maps said to have been used by Portugese navigators, including Christopher Columbus, have Satelite verified ( by the USAF) coastal features for all the continents, including Antarctica (only mapped with radar, in 1989!).
