I say true--that almost always happens. I didn't mind. Heck, I've been the house with the box of raisins!

Also, someone always gives out coins: pennies, nickels, dimes--rarely quarters!

True :)

But I will admit, my friends and I have been given worse.....

pomegranates, apples, really bad tasting cookies, coupons for $1 off at a local restaurant, toothbrushes, pocket combs, and frozen candy from the year before.

I'm one of those weird kids that LIKED the mini-boxes of raisins...

The one that always annoyed me was running into that weird house where the occupant was celebrating their birthday on Halloween & they tried to make us sing, "Happy Birthday" to 'em before they'd give us candy.

... I just thought those folk were creepy & learned to stay away the following year.

Yea, worst place to go! haha!
I remember for a few years my Nana would give out freshly made Elephant Ears(fried dough) with your choice of topping ( cinnimon and sugar, powdered sugar, chocolate or a fruit kind) and to wash it down she would give out little slush puppies in a variaty of flavors! We definatly had to best house to go to!!
Other weird things ive gotten was, a handful of coupons, a goldfish, change, pencils, erasers, cans of soda, random pieces of fruit...

SOOO True.....

Also, I remember this man that used to give out money, quarters to the oldest kid, nickels to the middle kids and penny's to the youngest kids. I always thought that it wasn't fair because I always got stuck with the Pennies. Poor Little Me.

So true - I hated that house but as a parent I have been known to give them out to the toddlers.

I love raisins... always wanted to get as many as I could... till I saw them dancing on TV.... then I felt like a mass murderer.... for a few minutes... then went right back to chewing on them.

True. There was also one that gave out apples and one that gave out homemade stuff we had to throw out because you "couldn't be too careful."
