People very rarely seem to judge these things rationally.
Or maybe it's only the irrational loud-mouths that get noticed.
Derren Brown wrote* something about uninformed strongly held opinions. I agree with him.
How the heck should you or I have a valid opinion of the guy's guilt or lack thereof?
Same goes for the whole Maddie thing. It'd be nice if some morons would keep their opinions to themselves.
Maybe too harsh, but I'm in that kind of mood at the moment.
Edit: Funnily enough, OJ Simpson was in the line for the lead role in the original Terminator film, but was then dropped because James Cameron didn't think the public could perceive him as a killing machine :^)

The only reason OJ was found innoccent the first time was due to the backlash of the Rodney King virdict i.e. those police officers being aquitted and the subsequent race riots in LA. If he had been found guilty the same would of happened. The authorities knew this.

There was decidedly racial issues because both his ex-wife and the man she was with were both white. Many people felt the book would be thrown at him simply for that reason, not a reason of guilt necessarily. I still cannot believe he got away with it and then later was proven guilty for the SAME crime in a civil suit. Madness is certainly the right word for it. I think he's a psychopath who needs to be out of society.

Anybody who followed the original criminal trial knows he is guilty of two murders. The reason he wasn't convicted was because he had a hand-picked jury that was sympathetic towards him and wouldn't have convicted him even if he actually had told them he committed the murders. They just totally disregarded all the evidence presented. The reason the outcome was divided among racial lines was that many blacks felt they had to support a fellow black who was in trouble. I agree that black people do have it worse in our judicial system, especially if they are poor, but this was the wrong man to support. I don't want to sound offensive here but he is a rich celebrity who doesn't seem to consider himself black. He doesn't date black women and rarely socializes with black people. His arrogance is appalling. I can't help but wonder if members of that jury now regret their decision since it's so obvious now that he is not the least bit grateful to them for acquitting him.

I think a lot of people are getting wise to others 'pulling the race card' which is a good thing. It does nothing to help those who have genuine discrimination cases.
Lenny Henry did a scetch a few years ago where he auditioned for Annie dressed in a ginger wig and red dress and when the producers said no he started ranting about them being racist. LOL

he was guilty the first time round...it's just that he had enough money to get himself off with murder...if he gets away with this then there's something seriously wrong with the system...he's guilty as sin and his colour has got nothing to do with it....he murdered his wife and her friend because he was jealous of her friend, so colour should not be an issue...it's the person he is that made him do it...

O.J. Simpson is a narcissist and couldn't wait to get his face on the news again. He's guilty on all charges in my book, not to mention smug and arrogant.
