their fielding is the key
they have improved quite a bit and even tho they got an "average" total for a twenty20 game, they put the pressure on South Africa thru their fielding and made it look like they were chasing something around 180
If they keep up the pressure on the field they will be fine.
These youngsters are starting to put partnerships together, get singles and are running between the wickets when fours/sixes are not available. They're rotating the strike and they keep the scoreboard ticking
They have brought an attitude of unselfishness that has never been shown in any Indian squads. Their bowling has been decent but needs a lot of improvement.
But anyways, if they continue playing like how they did against England/South Africa they have a great shot of beating the mighty Aussies

Even before the Indian team grew to become into seen as favorites and went into vast tournaments with a great buzz and have been given kicked out of the 1st around.. remember the WC 2007? A defeat from Sri Lanka grew to become into quite expected yet, Bangladesh? no person observed that one coming.. yet, India is an quite sturdy cricket team which should not be complacent while it includes vast tournaments.. in any case, the semi finalists i are watching for are - Australia Sri Lanka South Africa Pakistan (probable India)

India might be a chance. Certainly they will put in a better show than Sri Lanka who were pathetic. One of the most appalling efforts by a team in 20/20 cricket history.
Has another team ever made the target in this format without losing a wicket?
India and other nations would not let that happen.

a big "?" mark on the winning side
india and australia both had some bad moments, like india losing from kiwis, its like WOW and HOW? , then australia beaten by zim, Rookies get the Professionals, more like a rat killing a lion or something lol, aus beaten by pak, no big deal sohail tanvir was a new bowler so the openers got confused/stunned/surprised by the way he bowls i guess hehe

If India play against Australia at the same level they played against Pakistan, England and South Africa, they can defenitely beat Australia.
