A lot of people think it is once in a lifetime.
Well, I've had lots more of them than second chances. There are a lot of experiences that a person has once and never again.
If someone says ok, I'll give you another chance it usually means just start over from the beginning.
I am not planning a second chance of living my life.
Wow, that means I better get busy and make the most of this once in a lifetime that I have.

Once in a Lifetime I MAY be a Billionaire
Okay, you get a Second Chance at Work Before I consider Firing You.
I'd say "Second Chance" is more scarce because people aren't willing to overlook mistakes that are made in a lifetime, many don't care, and I may just have a better chance at working towards my millions than people pleasing to get that second chance, when if I have billions-- Why not buy that "Second Chance"

Once in a lifetime is more scarce and much more valuable to hold on to. Having second chances are going to occur more often in relationships because none is perfectly harmonious forever. It's how partners respond to those multiple chances that reflect the value and appreciation of the once in a lifetime opportunity.

First thought: Once in a life time. After all it's only "once." But then I thought, but there are so many "once's" The once in a life time trip to Disneyland -won free at a costume party the day before Halloween. The once in a life time dress I was married in. The once in a life time gift of my husband. The once in a lifetime blessing of kayaking in Baja. And so on.
Second thought: maybe second chances are scarcer. Break someone's trust, and the second chance to reestablish that trust is extremely rare. And you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
And yet: second chances is what God and forgiveness are all about. So with humans these things are impossibly scarce; with God all things are possible.

Nothing more scarce than a ONE-TIME event in an only one period of time which is life;..such as a "once in a lifetime" thing.
A "second chance" as preceded by a first chance could be followed by a third chance, and a fourth, and so on and on.
But a "once" that comes can go and get lost forever.

Once in a lifetime.
- They is one chance and meaning there is no second chance, this is more scare.
Second chance
- You already have your first chance, but you dont use it well, this is just supplementary.
If you dont have your first time, once in a lifetime, you shouldnt have a second chance, so it is more scare to have once in a lifetime than second chance
What a good question!!!

probably "once in a lifetime." The only I see that comes around only once in a lifetime is living itself. A second chance is much more common compared to that....though in relationships it depends a lot on the situation and person/s.
